Recurring Children’s Programs
Story Time:
Targeted for preschoolers ages 3-5, however younger
and older kids are welcome with parents. We do
puzzles, sing songs, read a story and do a craft. Story
Time meets in the Children’s Room in the Library at 10
AM each Friday, with Sensory Play on the last Friday of
the month. No registration is required.
Sensory Play:
An unstructured sensory play time with our sensory
equipment and toys also includes a snack. Sensory Play
is held in the Community Room in the Library at 10 AM
the last Friday of the month. No registration is
required.
Family Fun Night:
Fun Night for parents and kids Kindergarten thru 5th
grade. We do a wide variety of activities. Games,
crafts, snacks and some special events. In the past we
have had a Dog Man Party, and a Tea Party. Family
Night meets in the Community Room at the Library
from 6-7 PM on the third Thursday each month
(except during Summer Reading), Prior registration is
only required for special events.
Teen Night:
Teens ages 13 to 12th grade gather after school to
hangout, play board games, video games, make crafts,
and includes snacks. They meet the second Thursday
of each month from 3:30-5:30 PM in the Community
Room. No registration is required.
After School Movie:
Enjoy a movie after school on the third Monday from
3:30-5:30 PM in the Community Room at the Library.
After school movie is designed for elementary and
middle school aged children. Popcorn (popped in
peanut oil) and water are provided for the movie. No
registration is required.
Tween Night:
Tweens ages 9-13 gather in the Community Room at
the Library the first Tuesday of the month from 3:15-5
PM. Tweens play video games (like Mariokart), board
games, do crafts, and eat snacks. Tweens need to have
a parent/guardian permission form on file to attend. If
there is a special event planned and additional sign-up
is required, event flyers will have the information. The
parent/guardian consent form is available at front
desk.
Recurring Adult’s Programs
Adult Craft Night:
Simple Crafts geared to adult patrons. Crafters meet in
the Community Room at the Library from 6-7 PM on
the last Tuesday of the month. Registration is required
each month.
Adult Book Club:
This book club is a little different, we read books based
on movies and watch the movie adaptation. There we
discuss the story and whether we could have just
watched the movie. On the second Tuesday of the
month, we meet in the Community Room at the Library
from 2-4 PM to watch the movie together. On the
fourth Tuesday of the month, we meet in the Newfield
Room from 2-4 PM to discuss.
Adult Movie Matinee:
Enjoy an afternoon movie on the third Thursday from
1-4 PM in the Community Room at the Library. BYOS –
feel free to Bring Your Own Snacks for the movie.
Adult Afternoon Craft:
Simple Crafts geared to adult patrons. Crafters meet in
the Community Room at the Library from 1-2:30 PM on
the second Monday of the month. Registration is
required each month.
Tech Time @ The Library:
Have some technology questions? We have someone
available every Tuesday from 1:30-2:30 PM to help
you. Whether a Library service or app, questions about
email, the Internet. We provide as much help as we
can. Bring your phone, tablet or laptop and your
questions.
